- Meals (short term)
- Organizational assistance (garage, kitchen, closets)
- Transportation (doctor appointments, PT, grocery store, airport)
- Errands (grocery store, pharmacy, meal pick up)
- General help (light moving, getting mail, watering plants, watching houses, small home repairs, putting out/bringing in garbage and recycling bins)
- Assistance with pets (feeding and walking)
- Assistance with technology (computer)
- Visits (in-home, hospital) and PIF Outreach (phone calls, cards, emails)
- Accompanying a resident to doctor’s appointments
- Loaning of medical equipment (walkers, wheelchairs, scooters, etc.)
- Loaning of small tools
- Evaluation of services needed (done by members of the Intake Team)
Intake Team
The Intake Team is a subset of PIF volunteers who help residents decide what services and/or equipment might be needed. Referrals to the Intake Team come from a PIF Board member, family member, friend or neighbor, as well as from the resident needing help.
